        The Miracle Worker

“The Miracle Worker” is the poignant and endearing true story of Helen Keller (1880-1968), whose illness at less than two years old left her blind and deaf and unable to communicate in a civilized world.  “The Miracle Worker” tells of the struggle between Helen and Annie Sullivan, her tutor, who took on the task of trying to help her learn when her parents had all but given up.  As an adult, Helen Keller became such an important symbol of triumph over adversity that she has earned a place in our history, making her story one that everyone must read.
