have solved that problem for you! The Essay Apprentice / Essay Architect™
writing system was developed by a secondary teacher to help other secondary
teachers teach the often daunting, yet vitally important skill of essay
writing.
The perfect precursor to the
best-selling Essay Architect™, our Essay Apprentice™ Writing
Program helps students who are unable to write a five-paragraph
essay, lack the confidence to produce good writing, or need a
lot of extra help with the essentials of good writing. By
building the basic foundations of writing through simple, yet
practical activities, students learn the step-by-step process of
creating writing they can be proud of.
Designed for use in grades
6-12, Essay Architect™ will help you teach everything
your students need to know about writing a great essay, from the
essential structure and vocabulary, to pre-writing, to polishing
the essay in its final stages. Students have the opportunity to
learn and practice every step of the process before
actually writing an essay, and they learn how to evaluate and assess
other essays to recognize high-quality, well-written essays, as
well as poorly-written, weak writing.
Once you have completed this
entire process from start to finish, you will no longer have to take the
time to teach and re-teach your students the necessary skills of essay
writing. You will only have to work to help your
students improve their essays with heightened vocabulary, stronger evidence,
and higher-level thinking. We even include the necessary materials to
help you achieve that goal!
It seems as if there are not enough hours in the
school year to teach students everything they need to learn to meet state
