  Tuck Everlasting

"Ten-year-old Winnie Foster is sick of her life and feels as though she is a prisoner in her own home.  Weary of her overprotective mother and grandmother, she runs away into the woods one day, where she encounters Jesse Tuck, drinking from the spring at the center of the woods.  He and his family kidnap her and reveal to her a secret they have never shared with anyone else.  Having drunk from the spring 87 years before, the Tuck family has been given eternal life.  Now Winnie must decide whether she, too, wants to live forever.  Her journey through this coming-of-age novel and her ultimate decision impart a story that will not soon be forgotten."
