"As the
plane carrying a group of British schoolboys crash-lands on an
uninhabited tropical island, life changes abruptly for all of
them. With no adults to depend on, the boys are left to fend
for themselves. Ralph, who does his best to get the boys
organized and working together, is elected leader. At first,
the boys cooperate, but before long hostility becomes apparent.
His most powerful opponent is Jack, the painted-faced
antagonist, who along with his “savages” spends most of his time
hunting the wild pigs of the island. The situation
deteriorates, and very soon, the rules of civilization are
forgotten...."
