The materials are great-- Common Core aligned and thoughtful. They encourage the students to dig deeper, and they're very detailed. These are the kinds of materials I usually find myself making on my own because it's hard to find things that match all of our standards. It's so nice to find materials that are ready to go!

There's no reason to reinvent the wheel if there are resources out there to help us manage our time better as teachers! Thanks for helping to change up my teaching practice a little while I transition into using the common core on a regular basis.

Things I love about the Literature Guide:
- The comprehension questions for each chapter actually take the student through each depth of knowledge level. They move from simple knowledge/comprehension questions to analysis/synthesis questions.
- The Standards Focus - I love how I don't have to worry about doing a separate grammar lesson. And I know that each element of fiction is being covered in depth.

I would love to see a Literature Guide for The House on Mango Street. There are lesson plans out there, and materials, but none I have found that would be done as well as the Literature Guides found at Secondary Solutions.
