From our PocketSolutions® collection! The lessons in Part One: Building Confidence are designed to help students to appreciate their own language and background. Many students bring with them a background that may not include what may be considered “standard” English. Students are encouraged to find their own voice as a writer by embracing their own language—including slang, jargon, expressions, etc. By allowing students to find and use their own voice as writers, we are also encouraging them to figure out who they are as individuals, helping to build their confidence as writers. This product is recommended for struggling writers in grades 5-12. PLEASE NOTE: This product was taken directly from our Essay Apprentice Writing System. If you are planning to purchase the entire Essay Apprentice Writing System, this product will be a duplicate.
